Art in the time of Coronavirus

Soo Boswell started as an Arts in Health Coordinator at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust in September last year. She believes that art in its widest form – including music, literature, poetry and theatre – is fundamental to life, especially during times of anxiety and uncertainty.

During lockdown she has found creating essential to maintaining her mental wellbeing – as a way of reducing anxiety, exploring emotions and as a distraction from the wider world.

This short film sums up how she feels about art and creativity, and the connections with other people it can bring.
